Seems Like Home Family Day Care participates in The Child and Adult Care Food Program which
is a federal program of the Food and Nutrition Service, United States Department of Agriculture. This program extends
the benefits of the National School Lunch Program to children in family day care homes.
Under the regulations of the Child Care Food Program, parents are not charged a separate fee for meals nor will
they be asked to provide food for their child for meals claimed under the program. The fees charged by Seems Like
Home Family Day Care cover the care of the child and the food costs not reimbursed by the Child Care Food Program.
Seems Like Home Family Day Care's participation in the Child Care Food Program is sponsored
by Catholic Charities, Perth Amboy, NJ. Catholic Charities regularly visits facilities to ensure that they adhere to
the rules of the program regarding cleanliness of the cooking and food storage facilities as well as safety and hygiene concerns.
Random meals are supervised during these times to ensure that approved items are being served to the children. Menus
and attendance records are sent monthly to ensure adherance to the rules and to justify reimbursement.

Breakfast is served at about 9:00 AM and always includes fruit and milk. The main course may include pancakes,
waffles, mini-bagels or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
A mid-morning snack at about 11:00AM includes yogurt, graham crackers, cereal and milk, goldfish, pretzels and items
of that nature.
Lunch is served between 1:00 and 1:30PM and always includes milk, fruit and a vegetable. The main course could include
grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, fishsticks, chicken nuggets or frankfurters. Side dishes may include macaroni and
cheese, bowtie pasta or potatoes.
At about 4:00PM the children are served dessert (this meal is not included in the Food Program and is intentionally not-nutritious). The
children are usually served ice-cream, brownies or cookies.
